Linux Network Administrator / Systems Support

Job Description Duties:

1. Daily activities include: verify backups completely successfully and take corrective action if necessary, check event logs (system and application logs) and resolve errors and actionable warnings, verify AVG anti-virus is up to date and working, verify SUS server updates and deployments were successful, check for critical updates and apply if necessary, monitor available disk space and advise if disk space is running low. Address open issues related to servers or workstations.
2. Weekly activities include: Run weekly server Anti-virus scan, check Active Directory health, check Exchange Server stores health and take necessary action for maintenance.
3. Monthly activities include: Defrag disks
4. Run reports as requested
Required Skills Requirements:

1. Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/ Information Technology or any related course
2. At least 2 years experience in software maintenance; PC hardware and networking; installations and upgrades
3. At least 2 years experience in troubleshooting of Linux server and web application servers
4. Experience in Linux/Unix is required
5. Intermediate knowledge in database administration
6. Can work with minimum supervision
7. Has strong analytical and problem solving skills
8. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary
9. Willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig City
10. Willing to work at night (09:00PM-06:00AM)
11. Full time position available
